Receptionist Job – July 2023

Pearl Hospital is a level 4 private health facility providing quality general and specialized outpatient services to the residents of Nyahururu and its environs. We are seeking to recruit a motivated and qualified Receptionist.
Key Responsibilities
• Patient Registration: Welcome and assist patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date completion of necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance records with accuracy.
• Ensure that all patients information is entered onto the medical system promptly and accurately to avoid claims return i.e., Register patients according to established protocols in the hospital.
• Insurance Coordination: Communicate with insurance companies for pre-authorization and verify coverage for services provided by the hospital.
• Client Satisfaction: Demonstrate a caring attitude, effective communication, and follow-up to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
• Policy Compliance: Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with all Pearl Hospital policies, procedures, and systems, particularly those related to medical services and finance.
• Patient Privacy: Always uphold patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Develop a proper filing and retrieval system to maintain and manage patient records thus ensuring efficient retrieval of all needed information.
• Monitor patient’s appointments as scheduled and constant follow up on the same.
• Respond to incoming calls and respond to all inquiries.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum qualifications
• Diploma: Front Office/Business Administration/Health Records or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital set-up.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer focus and results-oriented approach.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Responsiveness: Highly responsive, ethical, and responsible individual.

Pearl Hospital seeks to recruit motivated and qualified healthcare workers for the following
positions.

TITLE:  HOSPITAL ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: Nyahururu

REPORTS TO: Hospital Administrator

Overall Job Function:

The successful candidate will help the business in making critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and managing the company’s finances. They will be responsible for carrying out financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and implement financial policies that include among others financial.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Validate, update and file statutory returns and ensure tax compliance on all statutory obligations; including management of the facility’s payroll.
  • Evaluate financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, to help the Hospital run efficiently.
  • Offer guidance on cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • In charge of the proper keeping of books of accounts and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and follow up on revenue collection and reconciliation of stocks and sales.
  • Keep track of the facility’s expenditure to ensure that the expenditure budget is within its confines.
  • Maintain an accurate register of all the company assets at all times;
  • Continuously carry out business risk assessments and offer technical advice to the management.
  • Record all financial transactions in the accounting systems.
  • Carry out all financial reconciliations as required.
  • Manage supplier and debtor accounts.
  • Handle petty cash administration.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and Monthly financial reports.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Any related course.
  • At least CPA Section III.
  • Good excel and reporting skills.
  • Experience in Budget making.
  • Experience and knowledge with QuickBooks.
  • At least two years of working experience; Experience in a Healthcare Industry will be an added advantage.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
